A-ko's glow
In the scene where A-ko gets angry at B-ko for delaying her when she got up early with the Arashiyama 5, she puts her head down and begins to glow. This is an example of a "battle aura". These are commonly seen in martial arts anime (eg there are many in Ranma) and usually appear when a character is getting ready for a major attack.
